My twitter timeline is full of politicians from different cities and towns telling central Government they need money for XYZ. Blaming these people OR Government is missing the root cause and the impossible situation our world currently faces without a vaccine. Money isn’t free.

My point is they’re right to be speaking up about the need for cash. And Government are right for providing and also not providing. There’s no “magic” formula here but the impact on all our future gets greater for every penny extra spent. It’s a worry.

But maybe a greater worry is the anger and fragmentation it’s causing in society from those that thing more should be given and those that think we aren’t doing enough. Hate is too commonplace in modern political discussions (MPs calling other MPs “scum” in debates! )
