This is the core debate to me:
TRAs: Trans women are women, and no debate. Therefore anyone who says they're not (or worse, that they're men) is misgendering, misrespecting their gender identity, transphobic, transmisogynist etc, and is a witch who needs to be burned.

This is based on an internal identity which is a woman's identity because trans women say it is. They claim ontological knowledge of being a woman, and then redefine the word woman as an identity as an ex post facto justification.

Women: it is sexist for males to think that we have a womanly essence which they can share, when we are as diverse as they are. It is the apex of entitled male supremacism to redefine us in terms of this mythical essence and thus remove our ability to set boundaries with them.

It's not our contention that transwomen aren't convincing women, whatever that is supposed to mean. We're not "disrespecting their womanhood". It's our contention that they weren't entitled to the category woman in the first place, and that taking it was a male power grab.

And when that power grab removes all the spaces, protections, sports etc that women fought so hard for, expect us to treat it as an exercise of patriarchal power, and to fight it as a feminist issue.

A reminder that if you don't define woman as "adult human female", you're saying that
a) adult human females don't even rate a word for ourselves, and
b) we now have to tolerate being defined in terms of gender - men's fantasy idea of us.

This is misogyny.
