June 12 2019, after wrapping a video shoot in Osun state myself and @djdaruga were arrested at New market, Obafemi Awolowo University by the DSS on the grounds that our car looked suspicious & we looked like cultists. We were shot at, searched thoroughly & were beaten like thieves
They took us to floor O where all our personal items were collected & our legs were cuffed with rusty iron-like things. The PRO of OAU Mr Abiodun Olanrewaju passed by in the morning, saw us behind the counter and asked what happened. We explained, he said okay & just walked away
Even when people started coming to identify us "This guy is very popular and we know him to host events and stuff", "I know this guy, he is a DJ, he plays at different events on campus" the school management still watched them transfer us to Osogbo in blindfolds and handcuffs.
An officer kept asking me if the cowries on my hair was fetish because he doesn't understand why I wasn't shot on sight! With "this your hair".
We were not allowed to make any calls or reach out to our families until day 3.
Nobody knew our whereabouts for 3 days.

For 3 days, we kept our minds intact by doing press ups in the cell, reminiscing on the good ol'days in OAU, we did a lot of self reflection too. We kept asking each other what if the bullet had not deflected? What if we end in jail? What if they kpef us? Plenty what ifs!
Oh the mosquitoes! Well trained and coordinated. They feasted on us like it was a carnival; even in the afternoons. Oh we also met a guy that had spent 7 days in their custody already just because he went to drink on campus and couldn't speak english. He is an indigene
They found nothing on us. The only contrabands they saw in my pocket was a pack of Bohem cigarette. They saw lots of BTS pictures and different jobs on my phone, and Bayo also had his event e-fliers on his phone. He missed a gig that week because of this.
Bayo ( @djdaruga) was partly deaf from the heavy slaps and blows he got, i had a gash above my eye cos i was hit with the butt of a gun. We complained about Bayo's ear and they gave us some drugs that we couldn't even use because of fear.
I was in custody on the day of my late brother's 10th year remembrance June 14 2019! I couldn't even light up a candle for him. I almost lost my mind but i kept calm all through. Cos i believed he was with me in spirit. We were poorly fed and threatened repeatedly
On the last day, we were given a chance to make one phone call, i sent out a text to Mrs Ogundeji and called @AbisolaTiny cos if i had called my family in Ife, they'd waste that call preaching the word of God. The department of dramatic Arts sent help immediately! I'd never 4get
I never told my mum nor sister about this ordeal cos i hate to see them cry. I am not pressing charges cos i won't win. I just want to share my story.
Remember when Scopa tu mana was the trend on Twitter? This was after we were released. That bullet could have killed me cos i was seated on that side of the car!
