Over #halfterm, join us each day to follow 7 simple creative prompts devised by artist Sam Ayre, encouraging you to step outdoors and connect with the natural world and your own creativity!

Day 1! Draw your favourite animal in a single continuous line

Day 2! In the park, what sounds of nature can you hear? Draw the sound & its source

You will need your wellies & waterproofs for this one!

Listen for
Leaves falling
Puddle splashes
Trees
Bird calls
Squelching mud

Day 3! On the beach, draw some creatures that you imagine are living underwater using a stick on wet sand

Today low tide in Bexhill is at 2pm approx.

Day 4! At home, draw a picture of your favourite fruit or vegetable and a map showing the journey it made to get to your mouth

Day 5! On the beach, use pebbles and stones to create patterns, lines and shapes.

Day 6! In the park, find an acorn, conker or other seeds, draw them and what you imagine they might grow into
