woke up to say this isnt ableism it’s just lack of accessibility. stop using words wrong it’s not helping the people effected it’s solidifying unsavoury people’s arguement about handicapped individuals. it’s extremely uncomfortable for these people when you coddle them likes this https://twitter.com/AK4INE/status/1319651984358723586
remember people who are disabled don’t personally enjoy their disability being made this whole thing because it only makes ableism worse. for instance the way people on wheelchairs board buses. now everyone’s glaring at them like theyre an inconvenience
im very sleepy and i might no t have gotten my point across but please don’t say this is ableism lmao that’s very stupid and it makes it look like you have no idea what you are talking about which isnt a good thing when you are educating people
op if youre reading this here is what i am talking about in essence, screenies of people completely missing the point of this thread because they’re caught up on the hyperbole attempt to further extend your point
and to be frank people who are not able bodied would rather not people speak for them. the entire fucking world speaks for them and they do so badly each and every time. it’s very frustrating and threads with wording like this only makes shit worse for them
