TONIGHT (김석진)
[ENTIRELY BASED ON MY INTERPRETATION]

+ the song TONIGHT had been written by Jin with the help of RM for the 2019 Festa. This song collectively talks about Jin's pets who have passed away and who are present . As an animal lover SJ expresses his feelings through this song.

+Pets don't stay with us forever, but they entangle us with such a rope of gentleness and kindness that when they are gone we feel like smth we're really attached to is leaving us.

+SJ says, that he doesn't know how long are they going to stay by him and put their small paws on his hands, make him smile through all the odds. he's scared, that the little one he's seeing today might not be running infront of his eyes the next day.

+to which I'll add SJ's brother's post, and the pup that's been talked about.

+SJ got his sugar gliders when was searching up his roommate, Suga's google profile. since then, he had owned two of them.

+their clear captivating eyes, the familiar touch when you feel when their paws are placed on your hand. the touch that will instantly remind you that's its the same little one that ran with you to fetch the ball. he knows they have a very short lifetime.

+thus, he asks if he will not be able to see them again because above all a bond of love, care and faith has been formed. losing pets is equivalent to that of losing a family member.
(I can't even write this properly because this feeling is too painful to be written in words.)

+ he asks in a melancholic tone, that, the little faces that lit up his own face w a momentary smile that felt like forever, will he never ever see it again?

+SJ's voice is too perfectly complimenting this entire piece so fantabulously that i myself am at loss of words.

+he tells us that they have been with him throughout by his side - even he stood by his side. when the moon in the dark night went down and a happy day came up, they were still there to make him smile.
but now, will they not be there anymore?

+SJ in here, acknowledgee the universal truth that pets don't live as long as humans do- so when they will be gone, instead of lamenting he'll just close his eyes and recall the moments he has spent with them. the happy moments. just the happy memories to be remembered.

+the last stanza is again repetitive of the first one, where he fears if this night goes down... he might not see them toddling around again.

+all of us know that Tonight is a song for SJ's pet,, but i found a small alternate meaning to it. when BTS will disband someday, they'll close their eyes and remember the happy memories they spent with ARMYs.

+Somehow, Tonight also shows how like Jin's pets, ARMYs are close to him too... but what if one day, its just over- he'll just keep the lovely purple ocean alive and captured inside his eyes.
