I have a theory about what happened to @MisElizaJane and friend at the very end of The 100. It's super Catholic—my theory—and I make no representations that this is what @NoahCRothman intended.

(But, also, authorial intention do not matter as much people think.)
Before we go any further, SPOILER ALERT X1000.

If you haven't watched the series all the way through, do not read this thread.
The earth Clarke returns to in the very end is actually heaven after the end of time.

Her friends are back because they've experienced the resurrection of the body. They live forever just as they are. They do not have children because this is eternity.
The real test that the main cast passed was choosing life with Clarke--who gave herself so that they would be saved--rather than "transcendence" without her.

They chose the body, the sacrificial lamb, the lived sacrifice and are rewarded.
