i like hey everybody bc it’s another pop punk song. this one focuses more on telling you that you’re going to make it and get out to make something of yourself, even if it doesn’t seem like it right now

this song is all about f the system and breaking the mold of what is considered a standard in adult society. 5sos were teens when they formed +

and i’m sure they heard from others about how being in a band isn’t a proper job and how hard it is to make it in the music industry. they should settle and focus on getting a normal job. luckily they pushed and made it and now they help young kids through their music!!

this song is all about hope and continuing and getting better mentally +

this is my all time fave song and think the lyrics are extremely vulnerable yet full of hope. i have hope that things will get better when i listen to the song and how i have to work to make them better. the song is also about loving someone despite all their flaws

this is more considered a love song about wanting to stay together with someone and convincing them that they can and make it work

it’s about two broken people (i’m making it gender neutral i know it says boy and girl) falling in love and one telling the other that they can help each +

other feel more whole and less broken bc they have each other. the safety pinned heart emerged from this song and it’s a really cute image to represent the song and album as a lot of us have struggled and 5sos and their music has helped keep us together.

a song about trying to make a relationship work but this one they’re tired of fighting and don’t want to lose this+

this song is so sonically beautiful i absolutely adore it. it is a song about a relationship and being so consumed with someone that it doesn’t matter +

if that person is being hurtful or lying; the only thing that matters is that they’re together in the most all consuming way. lie to me was influenced by vapor and you can’t tell me otherwise

a relationship but failed bc the other person left so speaker is just talking about how they feel abandoned and lonely since they’re still caught up in their feelings

live version with guitar battle is amazing and perfect. also the vocals and the range the song particularly with luke going low in the bridge and then michaels vocals *chefs kiss*

this one calls me out since i’m a person who tends to push people away when i have problems but speaker is asking the one they love why they +

about parents fighting and staying together even though they’re not really in love anymore. from the pov of +

a child and how they’re hurting because of their parents fighting as well. raises the question is this better or is divorce the better option for everyone

after what you want and what makes you happy. in the case of the song, it’s about a person but also the overall of their dreams and how they’re determined to make it and make a name of themselves. how they won’t hide in the shadows and let doubt take over

san francisco is about reminiscing of a happier time in this relationship that is at its end. all their vocals are amazing and great metaphors throughout

i adore outer space. it’s in the pov of a person who is no longer in a relationship with the one they love but they want so +

it’s really meaningful that 5sos ended the album with words of comfort as this became a lot of people’s comfort album. this is their way of telling us and +

themselves that while it’s hard right now, it’s only for a little and it will be getting better and to keep going.
