Not going to engage with the latest tomfoolery but it seems it needs to be said again:

Genre labels exist so consumers can find entertainment they want when they want. It’s a marketing/classification system that allows creators to find an audience who want their work.

If a genre’s defining characteristics aren’t what you are looking for there are numerous other genres and sub genres that just might be what you are looking for. Expecting other consumers and creators to change because you don’t want to look where the thing you want

already exists or because you don’t know the difference between a love story, a romantic element and a genre romance is not likely to get you anywhere but on people’s shit list. So enjoy the journey I guess?
