sb told me they don't think rictor likes apocalypse but there're reasons behind why he does. i am not saying ric is in love w him like he is w 'star but apo is giving him smth he desperately has always wanted. he doesn't want more power or to "excel". that came as a plus bc 1/7

apocalypse has been telling rictor since the beginning how powerful he is. he has been listening to him. read the panels from the last tweet and then these ones and you can notice ric is getting from apo what he wanted/needed 3/7
ric LOVES 'star, we all know it but i think he felt responsible for him. ric is constantly helping him understand things, constantly explaining things to him. but ric is someone who struggles w his mental health so it a lot of weight to feel someone else depends sm of you 4/7
he was without shatterstar before xforce but he had tabby and rahne as support. in xfi he hit bottom bc of his powers so him "being alone" (feel alone) was bad for him then. then star reappears and it gets better but like i said he's back at being "in charge" of him 5/7
now in excalibur he has his powers. whatever he talked with apo pulled him out of his deep depression from issue #3. he can focus on himself and he has done that like look at him now bursting through a volcano in #12. i still don't know if i trust in apo. i have my suspicions 6/7
but i'd like to believe rictor is actually getting better. not that his depression is gone just like that but that's he's improving. that he has more good days than bad now. only time will tell. 7/7
