((OOC: There are no "canonical" genders or pronouns for any Blaseball characters. I think that's a good thing. However, there are many characters for whom the community largely agrees upon a set of pronouns for.)) 1/6
((I am not generally upset when people don't use those pronouns, because again, there is no "canon." However, I have noticed a trend of people generally using pronouns other than "he" or "she" for a character)) 2/6
((...until they are drawn by a popular artist (no one artist in particular, this isn't a callout), at which time people start using "he" or "she" based on that character's appearance in that piece of art. This sucks. This sucks so bad.)) 3/6
((Don't get me wrong, there are loads of nonbinary people who use he and/or she, and they are 100% allowed to do that (hell I use them for this character), but when it's imposed from the outside, it doesn't look like that. It looks like enforcement of the gender binary.)) 4/6
((I don't have an easy solution for this, other than:
-Don't assume someone's pronouns, which I would hope everyone is already not doing.
-Remember that not all nonbinary people are/want to be androgynous.
-Remember that not all trans people are/want to be passing.)) 5/6
((To reemphasize: this is not a call out of any particular person's behavior. This is a trend I've observed over time in this community. I am making this thread not because I dislike the Blaseball community, but because I love it, and know that it can learn and grow.)) 6/6
