In a few weeks, I'll leave the @HoustonChron's business desk. On Nov. 9, I'll start at the @TexasTribune covering the environment (from Houston!)

I have adored my two years at the Houston Chronicle. The Chronicle's editors, reporters and photographers pushed me to be better — not only a better journalist but an all-around better person and friend. I am heartbroken I won't be able to say goodbye in person.

At the same time, I'm excited to try something new at the Texas Tribune. I'm honored to cover a beat I care deeply about and looking forward to many road trips!
