Let's start at the beginning, last Saturday a 21F was gang raped at a party during lockdown, she got tested and 5 monsters were detained

Sadly, here in Peru, rape and assault towards women is extremely common, afab individuals, women and female presenting people live in constant fear for their lifes, very few laws protect peruvian women from abusive relationships, rape and assault.

Now, back to the 21yo,you'd think the trial would go smoothly right? Well in defense one of the rapists, LAWYER Paul Muñoz decided to blame the victim with this awful statement, to be clear he used "social life" as a subtle way of saying "this is a slut that only knows parties":

After this, the hashtags #megustalavidasocial (I enjoy social life) and #PeruPaisDeVioladores (Perú rapist country) were born, and women in Peru stand in sorority with the victim, an effort is being made to teach respect, consent and basic human decency to a country than has none

Sadly this country has awful people so under EVERY news article covering the case, comments like this were found

Peru is suffering a women's rights crisis, I hope to bring awareness to this reality since this is a situation lived by most afab in LatinAmerica, countries like Mexico and Argentina join in the #NiUnaMenos movement for this same reason.
