Too many people hear stuff about the religious right movement and immediately try to convert it into an own on the TERFs somehow. It's important to let facts exist independently and in relations to each other. There are real connections, and connections ppl just want to believe.

For starters:

The religious right came into this fight already having vast wealth behind them. TERFs are dependent on God bucks to fund legal cases, but the RRW have been working on seeding popular secular campaigns outside the evangelical sphere for many years now.

The religious right wing came into this fight already with strong representation in government. When TERFs were kicked off by gender ideology panic to go talk to MPs they had conservatives with anti LGBT voting history ready and waiting to use their "concerns" as a catalyst.

Long story short, sometimes it's important to STFU about TERFs for a minute and see the bigger picture going on here!

Look at the Birmingham "Muslim" anti LGBT sex ed protests. Now Google Caroline Farrow, Christian Concern, Catholic Voices and Citizen GO on the subject.

This isn't just happening with TERFs and the trans community. This is how these Christian evangelical advocacy groups keep the heat off their own backs and leave feminism or ethnic minorities picking up the flack.

They're extremely well resourced and we're obliged to fight smarter and not go for the obvious if we intend to beat them.

Boris Johnson was workshopping using anti trans talking points for a culture war in the last election and you want to make literally any damn trans issue somehow connected with TERFs?

What's worked in the past isn't what we need today.

Ben Bradley MP seems to have close ties to and support from the far right and has been pushing anti trans stuff along with "Cultural Marxism" antisemitic rhetoric, with support from Tory lords, and your main focus is the saddest saga of in-fighting from the feminist movement?

The far right are currently in a position of being largely free to cosplay as feminists presently. Anne Marie Waters of For Britain Party freely attends Transgender Trend conferences and adopts their rhetoric to this end, others jump on board with GC campaigns for recruitment.

But make absolutely no mistake, the far right in this country and our government itself is the real danger to the trans community and to feminism. TERF Wars were at best a rehearsal.
