Let's say there's this trans girl. At age 18, she begins taking estrogen, which she hides from her conservative parents. By 19, the estrogen 1/7

has had a noticeable effect on her body. It's getting difficult to hide, so she comes out to her parents, hoping for the best. As a result she is battered by them (which, even if she's white, the police ignore bc it's a trans hate crime) and immediately evicted. Which is 2/7

also illegal but she's trans so police so don't care. She has no warning and resources. She tries to apply many jobs but is discriminated against for being visibly trans. Now keep in mind all this is happening SPECIFICALLY because she is transgender. So now she is homeless, 3/7

she's on the streets, despite her "head start" for being white. Indeed, she does not experience additional discrimination for her race. A black trans woman would have it worse. Yet from a race reductionist perspective, it looks like she had all the privilege and still failed. 4/7

Yes, if you're a cissy who deliberately ignores transphobia, it's almost like it doesn't exist. But outside your little fantasy world, it still does. She is homeless ONLY BECAUSE she is trans. So when you reduce that to "but she's white tho" that is unambiguously transphobia. 5/7

Ignoring/erasing racism is racist. Ignoring/erasing transphobia is transphobic. Saying a white trans person should be able to escape homelessness easily bc they're white is extremely transphobic, and identical to conservative bootstraps rhetoric. And same logic for disability 6/7

Autistic people have an 80% unemployment rate. An abled defended OP saying "white men can clean themselves up n get a job in a week" like, honey no. An attractive allocishet christian abled NT white man, maybe. Not an autistic person.

That's what I mean by race reductionism. 7/7
