Why is Bitcoin like God?

“God” is the personification of a collection of poorly understood forces that shape reality either towards a feeling of greater order, or away.

Some of those forces: natural selection, sexual selection, the unconscious mind, natural disasters, etc

Homo Sapiens have a template for what is “order” due to our evolution. We lived for over 100,000+ thousand years in a very *specific* type of environment that we became profoundly adapted for. Even the topography of the land our genes evolved in we can yearn for (topophilia)

The Abrahamic religions call this environment we were perfectly adapted for “Eden”

Where we were “one” with God (optimally adapted — Darwinian)

As the story goes in the bible, mankind “fell” from Eden into a world were they were cursed to work the soil that would yield little

This is essentially an allegorical explanation of the environmental change that mankind experienced when they left their adapted environment (Eden, hunter gatherer paradise), and found themselves in the Neolithic paradigm (agricultural)

Prior to the Neolithic, humans would have been “one” with God (in balance with the forces that determined life). They would have gotten their “daily bread” easily just as a lion has a steady stream of gazelle provided by “God”

During the fall to the Neolithic, “daily bread” (God’s blessing) was not granted as easily as before, and you had to “act” in new ways to get it. Or fail.

The story of Cain and Abel explains this fact: Cain’s plants were not granted God’s blessing, but Abel’s fatty meat was

Ultimately, what the new paradigm forced upon human life was the skillful and dutiful manipulation of certain “property” (whether land or animals) to yield production that somewhat recreates the “daily bread” of the past, like abundant wolly mammoth and other megafauna

Eventually, humans discovered the trading of property, comparative advantage, and the use of indirect exchange (money) to facilitate recreating some degree of the previous results of “daily bread” that “Eden” used to provide

The abundance in the “Eden” paradigm was so great that the idea of property scarcely existed and any of God’s blessing would be readily shared with the tribe.

This is the “instinct” that communists feel, leading them to try to recreate “daily bread”, but in a property paradigm

This cannot work, as the tribal living setting can only work in Eden-like balance with nature with minimal technology so as to not unbalance the availability of wild game stocks and upend the future dependability of the supply

In a property paradigm, it rapidly depletes supply

For example, this is outlined perfectly in Mel Gibson’s “Apocalypto”, showing one society in balance with nature and another deep in the chaos of agricultural society, and all the weird rituals, like human sacrifice, to entice “God’s blessing” to shine on them again

The property paradigm has always been a mediocre solution to the problem of “falling” from Eden, but it’s the ONLY method of social organization in a scarce resource environment where “daily bread” is no longer provided

The fundamental social ordering instrument that allows the property paradigm to get as close as possible to “Eden” is the price mechanism of a high S2F medium of indirect exchange

When this is the case, prices will organize the distribution of property like God organized nature

We will never get back to Eden, but with bitcoin as the primary medium of indirect exchange for the entire world, we will get as close as possible to the environment we are adapted for, and usher in a level of prosperity that hasnt been experienced since the dawn of the Neolithic

This is why #Bitcoin is like God, and will exert an almost mysterious ordering effect on society that will result in us *feeling* a way that is more in tune with our genetic nature

This feeling will be granted by optimized levels of cortisol, dopamine, oxytocin, and serotonin

Consider the Lord’s Prayer, combined with the concepts I just discussed:

Our father, who is heaven (the past, the Paleolithic “Eden”)
Holy is your name
Your kingdom come (Eden-like balance)
Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven (as it once was)

Give us this day, our daily bread (the abundance we used to have before the property paradigm)
And forgive us our sins (the curse of Cain and the abberated behaviour that comes from the property paradigm and not being in balance with God)

As we forgive those who sin against us (recognizing the paradigm affects all humans and their minds are equally harmed by it — leading to Cain-like behaviour)
And do not bring us into temptation (Same as above)
But deliver us from evil (... #bitcoin property paradigm)

And maybe, when order is restored, bison will roam the plains again, and wooly mammoths will be cloned and our most natural food source restored
