stop calling people "rats" A THREAD!!

STOP CALLING PEOPLE "rats" because you don't know if they're asian or not and the term "rat" is racist specially when it's used towards asian people.

white people compared Asian people features to rats and use that to degrade them and dehumanizing them .

around the early 1800s chinese immigrants started to come to america to find work in factories during the industrial revolution; this spawned a huge overflow of antichinese racism, anti-immigration sentiment, and discrimination against chinese workers.

characterized as "heathens", job stealers, lacking any kind of morals and rodents.

here are some examples why the term "rat" is very OFFENSIVE to asians.. ("jap trap" means japanese trap)

pls spread awareness even if you have a small following. pls use your platform and spread awareness. racism towards asians is so normalized and racism in general.

when ppl mocked us asians for having slanted eyes? and suddenly it became a “trend” cus it’s cute on them and they called it the “fox eye trend” or "bella hadid eyes" so it’s cute on you but not for us? racism towards asian is so normalised and i’m tired and sick of it.

and we call someone out they’ll just say “you’re too sensitive, you’re just making a big deal about it” we are offended and yes we are making a big deal about it because WE DID NOT get mocked FOR YEARS for something we have when we were born and just to become a trend for you.

and now the "ching chong virus" or the "chinese virus" stop this. its not funny calling an asian ching chong and bat eaters.. its not funny its never been funny. racism is not a joke.
