I am just about to finish reading "Spoiler Alert" by @OliviaWrites and, people? This book is beautiful.

It's sexy, it's funny, it's very very real. And it made me cry, multiple times. Because here we have two people who did not think they could be loved, and who found it.
There are trust issues in this book. There is a heroine who is, according to current beauty standards, overweight. But the hero finds her beautiful, both inside and out. It's not one of those "inner beauty" books. It's "all over" beauty.
And this might be odd, me crying over a book with a plus-sized BEAUTIFUL heroine when I've had my own body issues for my entire life, but in the other direction. I've always been underweight, always felt like something was wrong with my body, that I wasn't beautiful.
Because I didn't fit the commonly accepted standards of beauty. I was TOO skinny, flat-chested, looked like a boy, etc. I was bullied for it. I hated my body because of it. But books like this are important because there is no one-size-fits-all for beauty.
This is an incredibly important thing as I watch my own kids grow, skinny kids who have already been made fun of for being "too thin", told to "eat a sandwich" or "put on some weight."

We're constantly told we have to fit into certain molds in order to be attractive to others...
... and it's infuriating. I want my children to love their bodies, love themselves. I want to fully love my body and myself, though I still find it hard sometimes.

But again, the best part of this book is not that these people love each other despite their "flaws"...
... but they love each other because of who they are, 100% inside and out. And that is such a wonderful thing to find, and so if you need a story that will lift you up (and make you laugh, and maybe give you a little bit of PTSD about that last GoT season...) then grab this book.
