Ethiopia, as a country is at the precipice. There needs to be a national consesus on many issues in our country. The ostracisation of the state of Tigray is not a good look for Abiy, as his gov't seems to have lost sway with the TPLF and the people of tigray.
The people of oromia, to my understanding, demand more autonomy put simply enough. They want self-governance to the full extent allowed by the FDRE constitution. The fact that Abiy has quashed the oromian people the right to a higher degree of self-governance, is very alarming.
Meanwhile, a very derogatory term 'NEFTEGNA ነፍጠኛ', used against ethnic Amharas, rings loud in today's Ethiopia. Everyday Amharians are suffering the consequence of PP's ineptness in protecting it's own citizens. I dont believe Abiy has a plan in place, to prevent tragedies...
From happening against ethnic minorities in this country. It pains me to say this, but Its possible that we're witnessing the end of our country. I really do hope that we come together as a nation, but every passing day, I get discouraged.
