Ethiopia, as a country is at the precipice. There needs to be a national consesus on many issues in our country. The ostracisation of the state of Tigray is not a good look for Abiy, as his gov& #39;t seems to have lost sway with the TPLF and the people of tigray.
The people of oromia, to my understanding, demand more autonomy put simply enough. They want self-governance to the full extent allowed by the FDRE constitution. The fact that Abiy has quashed the oromian people the right to a higher degree of self-governance, is very alarming.
Meanwhile, a very derogatory term & #39;NEFTEGNA ነፍጠኛ& #39;, used against ethnic Amharas, rings loud in today& #39;s Ethiopia. Everyday Amharians are suffering the consequence of PP& #39;s ineptness in protecting it& #39;s own citizens. I dont believe Abiy has a plan in place, to prevent tragedies...
From happening against ethnic minorities in this country. It pains me to say this, but Its possible that we& #39;re witnessing the end of our country. I really do hope that we come together as a nation, but every passing day, I get discouraged.
