Despite dealing with injuries this season and having one of the worst coaches in the league, Fox had a very solid year. For Ja, Considering this was his first year, he too had an amazing year both statistically and success wise even though he didn’t make the POs. Both balled out
The reason for this comparison is not because I want to slander Ja but because I saw a lot of people rank Ja over Fox under this tweet. This debate has also been going on a long time anyway https://twitter.com/ingramfanclub/status/1318994947987574785
Fox is still the better player despite Ja seeing more team success. Imo the success factor is not remotely Fox's fault and I think people give Ja a little too much credit for the Grizzlies success. That team was good with JJJ, JV, Clarke, ect and Jenkins. It wasn’t just Ja
Statistically, Fox is the better scorer, both are pretty equal passers, equal rebounders, Fox is more efficient despite having a higher volume. He also has an extremely large lead in WS despite his team winning less.

The two charts are percentile rankings

Fox left, Ja Right
For the advanced stats

Not surprised, Fox is more impactful. Regarding BPM(Ja’s lack luster box score stats), WAR and PIPM(teammate on off rating and the defense tracking) and RPM's on/off tracking factors into its calculation more than PIPMs, hence why Ja has a better rating.
Neither made the playoffs but If you wanna bring up the "Who showed up when it mattered” mattered you can do that but it wont be a good argument considering Fox did in fact show up.

Ja played well for the most part, 19/10/6 but did so on 39/22/81 splits😬 compared to fox:
