Halloween this year is going to look a little different for a lot of people. I never went trick or treating as a kid, but my mum always put something together for me and my brother. So I thought I'd make a thread!
Hopefully those of you who are struggling to think of safe ways to celebrate this year will find something that works for you!
Pumpkin carving! No need to go anywhere other than your usual supermarket for this one! Or, if you can, buying from a local farm that sells them is also a great way to support a small business.
Baking! There are some great recipes for spooky cupcakes out there. Or you can just go wild with some food colouring and red icing and see what happens!
Decorate some cookies! It can be really fun to make some Halloween gingerbread people (vampires? ghosts? zombies?). Or again, there are a lot of recipes out there!
Get crafty! I still remember making Halloween cards to give to friends. In these times, they could be a lovely way to let someone know you're thinking about them!
Remember, there is more to Halloween than just costumes and sweets (although there is nothing stopping you from enjoying both those inside your own home!!) Feel free to share any traditions you have that can be done safely this year! 🎃👻🦇
