Do you ever feel envious of other writers& #39; book ideas?Here& #39;s a thread about why that& #39;s not such a bad thing https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😊" title="LĂ€chelndes Gesicht mit lĂ€chelnden Augen" aria-label="Emoji: LĂ€chelndes Gesicht mit lĂ€chelnden Augen"> #writingcommmunity #preptober
1. If you’re envious of someone else& #39;s book idea, congratulations! Now you know what kind of book you want to write https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😊" title="LĂ€chelndes Gesicht mit lĂ€chelnden Augen" aria-label="Emoji: LĂ€chelndes Gesicht mit lĂ€chelnden Augen">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🎊" title="Konfettiball" aria-label="Emoji: Konfettiball">
2. Just because someone has “done it before” doesn’t mean you can’t write it. Most ideas have been written about before. Get creative. Find a way to do the envied idea in a new, fresh way! (There’s always a way. Promise.) https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💜" title="Violettes Herz" aria-label="Emoji: Violettes Herz">
3. Envy is just desire + a mean voice in your head that says, “You could never do that.” Get rid of the mean voice and replace it with a curious one: “You wanna do that? Cool. How could we make that happen?”
4. Your version could be just as cool. Your version could be an homage to the idea you& #39;re envious of. Your version could say something new. Your version would be yours.

I want to see your version https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💜" title="Violettes Herz" aria-label="Emoji: Violettes Herz">
