1- Thumama ibn Othal was captured and tied to a pillar of the masjid in Madina for 3 days. The prophet set him free and he went out, took a shower and accepted Islam on his own. He vowed to boycott the disbelievers in makkah until the prophet instructs him to ship wheat to them!

2- He just accepted Islam, he wanted to give the disbelievers abusing the prophet a taste of their own medicine as they only understand the language of money. Their wanna be Napoleon can’t even qualify to be a pair of shoes to the prophet, salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam!

3- Muslims today need another Thumama who would stand up for the prophet, defend his reputation and show the disbelievers that our prophet is a redline they would “pay” literally dearly if they were ever to cross!

4- Hit them where it hurts most and boycott their products and their country as a whole. Muslim countries such as Turkey provide better alternatives with better quality and cheaper prices.
