Ok, on @adamugarba's post:

Let me make it clear, that I do not make posts to please anyone, a friend or a foe. I make posts that even before God, I believe I am right whether someone is offended or not. On this app, I have exchanged words with many, including Adamu here. https://twitter.com/adamugarba/status/1319041256136282112
I have never known him from Adam, & I have never met him. We agree on certain things & disagree on others, which applies even to the people I m closest to in real life here, @_abba_g is one & I criticise political leaders I respect, like HE @elrufai, & mentors like @DrIsaPantami.
I do not know how I missed this post even though we follow each other with Adamu. I checked if I had muted his posts, but I didn't. The short of the long story is, I would have disagreed with Adamu the moment I see the post. Although you cannot do away with political inclinations
to the EndSARS protest, especially that the movement was left open for every Nigerian, including those that contested against @MBuhari & lost, there is a genuine concern by some of the protesters to bring an end to police brutality, & I be tweeted tens of tweets in support.
However, we were quick to observe a shift from the "singularity of purpose" ( in @AishaYesufu 's words), and we backed down & insisted that we should please not make the protest political, or support other ulterior motives. We believe there are so many dangers to that.
One of those dangers is that, some may take advantage of such to start a RIOT for a forceful removal of a democratically elected govt, and that will surely throw us into anarchy. Although I do not see anything wrong with someone lifting a placard & calling for the resignation of
someone, democratically speaking. However, when such happens during an ongoing protest that was aimed at ending police brutality, it means there is more to what the eyes meet. When you call people to a protest, every kind of person joins. You may ve a clean mind, may be I don't.
How do you know what my motives are? So immediately your demands were listened to, the best thing is to withdraw & take the next step, which is to go to the tables. If you do that, you will foil my own evil plans that I might have brought to the protest. Unfortunately,
this wasn't done. But for Adamu to say that we shouldn't support everything that criticizes this govt, I think is unpatriotic, insensitive & unholy. We have supported this govt in every way & we still do in some ways. This doesn't mean that the obvious failures of the govt should
not be talked about and condemned. "Shaming the North" you say @adamugarba? Haven't our leaders shamed us enough? Do they see us as anything of importance apart from tools to make use during elections? They only want our votes, & they do not care about us. Until they come out
to defend our honor, stand in the frontline to protest our lives and properties, provide Nigerians with the most basic infrastructures, health system, education, & so on, they do not deserve our absolute support.

It is high time we shift from such thoughts & face our fears.
Our leaders do not see us as anything useful. They see us as tools to use to grab power & political offices & move on their lives; send their kids to study overseas, enrich themselves, invest home & abroad & that is it! This is a no! This we must work against.
This begins from our @nassnigeria members, our @NGRSenate members, our Governors, political appointees & ofcourse the presidency. Even if someone is your father & he isn't doing the right thing, say it as it is. This is what our our religion teaches us.

Allah says:
“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin”

[Surah an-Nisa’ 4:135].

Allah also said:
“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety”

[al-Maa’idah 5:8].

Imam Sa'di (RH) said:

As you would give testimony in favor of your friend, then give
testimony against him; as you would give testimony against your enemy, then give testimony in his favour whether he is a Muslim or not, because bring just at that point. Is obligatory".

See Tafseer Sa'di page 224.

We can be all partisans, but even if someone is from our
party, the least we can do is to correct them when they are wrong, support them when they are right, and not whether they are wrong or not.

When we criticise people, it doesn't mean we hate them. For some of us, it is the people we love most that we criticise most.
