For weeks, scientific illiterates have been proclaiming that it is not so bad, as hospitalizations and fatalities are low. However, as has been projected, daily hospitalizations are on the rise now as well, approaching the levels we've seen in spring.

While authorities are acting surprised, there is no surprise. What we see has been predicted by scientists and we see it because of scientific illiteracy and the lack of willingness to listen to science by politicians. We've seen a non-linear increase in cases since June.

Keep in mind, there are still minimal national measures in place. There are still events with thousands of spectators such as football and ice-hockey matches happening in Switzerland.

The test positivity rate has been above 15 % for almost two weeks and is now on the same level as in spring. This represents a complete failure to learn from past experiences and implement the required measures. This could have been avoided by listening to science.
