I know that #DaylightSavingTime is currently a very low priority in comparison to all the bigger problems in the world, pandemic or not.
But keeping #DST isn't a good idea, neither on a local, or global scale.

The temporary benefits of #DaylightSavingTime does not outweigh the disruptions and sleep/health problems it causes.
Now that more people are staying at home around the globe, it would be slightly easier to #EndDST, and some countries are considering it. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/daylight-saving-time-could-stay-during-the-pandemic/ar-BB198qSX

The disruption caused by a change in one hour of sleep is felt though the whole society, causing negative effects from the forced change in sleep pattern.
In the week after #DST is changed in the spring, there is an 6% increase in fatal traffic accidents: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-accidents-daylight-saving-idUSKBN1ZT2W3

This thread was mostly directed to the US, as the European Union already have decided to #EndDST in 2021.
But it's not clear for me if EU/Finland is on schedule to #AblishDST or not, as I haven't found any news regarding it recently. @sjoholm any idea? https://www.europarl.europa.eu/news/en/press-room/20190321IPR32107/parliament-backs-proposal-to-end-switch-between-summer-and-winter-time-in-2021
