No political party in Wales adequately has addressed racism in #Welsh society. Not Plaid, not Labour, not the Lib Dems, not the Welsh National Party and definitely not the Conservative party.

Topics that deeply effect BAME people are not devolved in Wales: a thread 1/
1] Westminster controls migration for Wales, despite Wales being a nation of sanctuary.

2] Black Welsh people are 7x overrepresented in Wales, but none of the above parties responded to the #LammyReview

3] Racial inequality in Welsh schools and universities = very high
Yes, education is devolved in Wales, but racial inequality and the emergence of a school to prison pipeline has emerged, with private prisons run by Westminster's cronies raking in the cash. 3/
We have had racism scandals plague Plaid Cymru, Labour has run Cardiff City while the population of BAME people doubles, along with child poverty in the city (which disproportionately affects children, and children from BAME backgrounds) 4/
We are party non-political as a group, and we will not affiliate with a political party because radical change can't come from a system that is inherently broken: we need radical, beautiful and social change to win hearts and minds. 5/
Windrush has really, really deeply hurt BAME communities in Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, but the Welsh government knew about it. Politicians knew about this, too. No responses to the Windrush review from Welsh parties, despite Welsh BAME people *still in* Jamaica🇯🇲 because of the Windrush scandal 6/
We organised against Windrush before the scandal broke, we ran prison demonstrations when we knew about over-incarceration, organised letter-writing, went door-to-door, picketed UKBA, found translators, organised pop-up cinema, gigs, you name it...and we always will 7/
