After sleeping on it, this morning I realised a few things about our #EndSARS protest.

#Thread.

1. There was a certain naivety about the protests. We thought that by appealing to the empathy and positive sides of our leaders, they'd see how what we were protesting for was Just.
That was why there was even talk about painting police stations, increasing police salary, police welfare etc.

We didn't realise or maybe forgot that these were sadistic oppressors determined to maintain their hold on power indefinitely.
2. We clamoured for the president to speak because, despite how many times he has shown himself in the past, we expected to see a humane leader. Someone with a drop of empathy. We wanted to be lied to. To be told empty words of comfort at least. It's the hope that kills...
3. We MUST re-strategise. We have to realise that these people are not people to dialogue or negotiate with. These are sadistic murderers who will stop at nothing to maintain the status quo.
They have the guns but we have the brains and numbers. We must find a way to sabotage their plans.

I don't know how we should do it but we must not give up now. This is class warfare and we must use what we have to fight them.
