Good morning brothers and sisters, friends and foes alike.

I bring you word from the #CouncilOfChiefs

Our elders say, a broom stick that takes itself out of the broom will be broken beyond fix, but the broom remains unbroken.

You are the broom stick if you give up. #EndSARS
First of all, our elders register their shock and disappointment with the mood following Buhari's address. An address such as that should help us arrive at one resolve and one resolve only.

We must resolve to snatch this country back from evil by any means necessary.
Let me ask you a question?

Is Buhari more Nigerian than you are, is Buhari not a public servant? So what happens when a servant decides to go against the wishes of his masters?

The masters must show who him who is boss.
I know the idea of a democracy is still foreign to us but why do you think people fight and died for it in many countries all over the world?

It is because they understand that a government of the people, by the people and for the people is worth the trouble.
A democratic government is the one in which the wishes of the people is what is represented by its government.

Immediately that stops being the case, the country is no longer a democracy.

Our country is under attack, not from external sources but from enemies within.
This country is worth the trouble.

I didn't believe this before but I firmly believe it now. I saw how we came together and spoke with one voice, I saw how we met and beat our crowd funding goals in 30 minutes because we wanted to help our fellow countrymen.
I saw how we put religion, ethnicity and class aside and stood together in the face of oppression and injustice. I saw a glimpse into the Nigeria our our dreams. I saw a youth that decided the best way to deal with the oppressor is to "kill them with kindness."
We are fighting against police brutality and we all decided together that even as we fight the oppressor, we also recognise their humanity and decided to make better welfare for the same police one of our demands.

I saw a people that could tell right from wrong and insisted
the right thing is done even amongst ourselves.

I have seen whole systems- medical, legal, emergency response, feeding, material supplies set up and become efficient in two weeks while our public servants sit around in committees that cannot provide these things in years
I have seen accountability, I have seen demand for it, I have seen brothers and sisters who may share different ideology band together say, let us fight the bigger problem together, we'll come back to our personal differences later. And in the process grown respect for eachother.
I have seen a Nigeria that works, I have seen FK Abudu and geng do more with less than 100 million naira what Humanitarian minister couldn't do with 10 billion.

While the #CouncilOfChiefs thoughts about all these things, one of the elders said and I quote, "Omo!"
That is a country worth fighting for. That is a future worth the trouble of fighting for it!

If we give up now, we are not only giving up our right to life and civil liberties, we are also giving up the new Nigeria which we have all come together to help create in these past
few days.

That is indeed a Nigeria worth fighting for!
That is the Nigeria Oke, Onome and scores others died for.

The fate of that Nigeria rests squarely on our shoulders. Whether we will see it in our lifetime or we will condemn our own children to the same fate. It is ours
to decide.

I may not believe in Buhari's government but I believe in @fkabudu's government.

I may not be willing to fight for Buhari's Nigeria but I will fight for @Mochievous and her gang of selfless lawyers' Nigeria. I will fight for the Nigeria they believe in.
I will fight for the Nigeria that works!

And when I'm getting too tired, or hear an insensitive speech from the dictator head of state, or when his handlers commit genocide in his name and play us cut and sew prerecorded "live" address threatening our lives, I will remember the
many who have died for this cause.

I will tell myself that it will not be in vain. I will honour their sacrifices.

I will continue the fight!

I am part of the unbreakable broom! I'm not a breakable broomstick.

This is my country and I will fight for it.
I leave you with the words of Theodore Roosevelt.
