Thoughts about Irene of @RVsmtown's attitude controversy; a thread.
(1) A lot of people who worked with Irene and Red Velvet for a loooong time (MVs, Concert staffs, Choreo, hair dressers, etc.) are now speaking up in behalf of Irene.
(2) If she's really the "bossy" and "bully" woman they are trying to paint her as, these people should've experienced it as well. The abuse should've been consistent if it was something innate.
(3) I'm not normalizing what Irene did. I have a huge heart for the workers but it depends on the context. The workers who worked with Irene did not experience anything bad from her because they did their job right.
(4) In midst of a public hate train like this, you wouldn't speak up for someone and fight against a massive wave, risking your name and your job, if the person did not leave an impact on you positively.
(5) The fact that they defended Irene, saying the image they were negatively creating was a complete contradictory of the Irene they worked with for ages, it shows that Irene is NOT naturally like that.
(6) A year ago, Irene's co-member Wendy literally fell to the ground and had her bones fractured due to the staff's negligence. They hadn't made a comeback since then as a group. Now, they prepared a group performance for their fans who missed seeing them as a group.
(7) Now, let's contextualize it this way:

Few minutes before the performance, the stylist had you change your outfit (in which you didn't use during the dress rehearsal so you're not comfortable with it)
(8) and literally few seconds after the performance (IN 10 SECONDS!) your transmitter fell off to the ground that could harm you and your members. As a result, you held it for the whole duration of the performance. Hence, your moves were limited.
(9) You weren't able to perform what you practiced.Just like that, the performance you prepared for the fans despite of your hectic schedule (sub-unit promotion, movie filming, etc) were all ruined. ALL BECAUSE A STYLIST DIDN'T DO HER JOB PROPERLY.
(10) Now, am I saying her rudeness to the staff is fine? NO. It could've been handled properly. However, something I find off is the fact that the stylist was able to record everything as if she was expecting it would happen. Because if it was natural, you would be clueless.
(11) Aaaand, instead of handling it properly, the stylist resorted to go to an editor and had the blind item published online. Don't tell me she was scared of Irene. If she was, they wouldn't add any identifiable information that it was her.
(12) In contradictory, they even used #psycho (One of Red Velvet's hit song) and #monster (Red Velvet sub-unit's debut song). It was no longer a blind item. They were literally pointing it as her. It was like a fuel waiting to lit up.
(13) Props for Irene for not ignoring this. Most of the idols will just let it die down and let their management handle this. In Irene's case, she apologized personally and knew what her mistake was.
(14) She also apologized publicly because she knew the rumours will affect her fans in one way or another. She made herself responsible for everything.
(15) I started stanning Red Velvet the moment they debuted. Their music will always make me come back to them after a long time of wandering. I know Irene will reflect on this. After all, the best apology is a change of behavior. I chose to stay because I know she'll be better.
(16) I love you, Bae Joohyun! You'll get through this. I promise.
