i have seen tweets again about colorism... i myself have been colorist before. as you can see, here in asia, you& #39;re treated with more respect when your skin is whiter. you& #39;re seen as beautiful when you& #39;re fair. you& #39;ll be told that you look clean if you& #39;re fair and etc.
this is one of the problematic ideas that colonizers brought to asia. due to this, a lot of asian, including myself have had this internalized colorist feeling for so long and even if a lot of us are trying to teach ourselves that it& #39;s wrong, it& #39;s difficult to let it go.
should i/we be cancelled for that? i don& #39;t know really. but when you& #39;re raised with an idea such as this & you& #39;ve lived your life in a society built on this idea, it& #39;s really hard to reset your mind. now, imagine being a korean, an east asian, whose society is built on colorism?
that& #39;s why you cannot FULLY hate on idols who make remarks such as that. i& #39;m not saying that your feelings are invalid, but please just think about it.

btw, if i& #39;ve said anything offensive/wrong in this thread, you can tell me :)
