Now that the debates are over and we are 12 days aways from the election, it& #39;s time for my unsolicited opinion on the election. More than 220,000 Americans are dead, 12.6 million people are unemployed, and the country is literally burning.
After all of this, I firmly believe that anyone who still supports Trump will support him no matter what (if you& #39;re a trump supporter who disagrees, I am eager to hear where your line is. Please prove me wrong). Biden will not win by changing the mind of Trump supporters.
As far as I& #39;m concerned, that seems pretty hopeless at this point. He needs the undecided voters and the voters who stayed home in 2016 because they didn& #39;t love Hillary. Joe Biden wasn& #39;t my favorite either
--after such a diverse selection of candidates in the primary, i was disappointed to see it come down to another old white man.
But I will proudly be voting for him because as a woman, he will fight for my right to chose. As a member of the LGTBQ community, he will fight for my right to love. And as a scientist he will fight for my pursuit of the truth.
In theory, I love the idea of only voting for someone who you see eye to eye with, but in reality Joe Biden or Donald Trump will be our president for the next 4 years.
So please vote in the direction of choice, love, truth, empathy, equality, justice, and everything else we have been lacking in the last 4 years.
