(A THREAD)

One thing I do differently than most investors is I only hold a select group of stocks.

I’m currently holding less than 20 companies in my portfolio.

Let me tell you why ⬇️
First off, I’d rather know everything there is to know about the companies I invest in than to just have a basic general understanding.

There’s plenty of people who will say I’m not diversified enough.
I’ve always viewed diversification more as the variety of companies you’re invested in rather than the number.

When you know your stocks very well, you have a better feel of what’s going on.
Maybe the biggest advantage of this approach is that it forces you to do your research.

You’ll only be comfortable going in big on a company if you know them front and back.
And it helps immensely when you’re okay taking on some risk. I’m 23 and I love the risk exposure of my current strategy.

I’ve gotten a great return so far this year, and hopefully y’all can as well.
