Here's the issue. When non-black people hear about "The Talk" they don't understand the most important part.

THAT is the issue. Because America doesn't care about a double standard in regards to behavior. They think--"Well, those kids SHOULD stop wearing hoodies and put on a suit, stop playing their music so loud and act right."

They think that it stems from a problem with our behavior, when we behave in the exact same manner as our fellow Americans. "The Talk" is useless because we are pulled out of our cars in suits. Shot in baby faces. Thrown to the ground on a "Yes, sir."

THAT is what I want a president to understand. That black Americans can do nothing in this country to be safe in their own skin. No bootstrap to pull. No code to switch. NOTHING. Because racists are given free rein to terrorize us and have been doing so since we arrived.

And that is what is NEVER brought up at these debates. Just more talk about how to "more fairly" police OUR behavior instead of the behavior of those who hunt us.
