Dear Friends,

I made a post last night expressing how the LGBTQ+ community as well as other minorities are being marginalized and suppressed through “civil dialogue”. I would like the chance to expand on my feelings. As a gay married man, those words are the truth.
A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for a homophobe, a sexist, a racist and so much more. Before you come and attack me in the comments, I want to finally have the chance to say my piece, and show you my perspective.
How would you feel, as a straight individual if the government wanted to repeal your right to marry? Or what about your right to adopt? Or have children? This is the reality for us in the LGBTQ+ community, simply because of who we love.
The Republican Party does NOT support the LGBTQ+ Community. A vote for Donald Trump is a vote to take away my right as a human being to adopt children, and have a spouse. This majority effects my life as an individual.
Have you ever felt terrified to hold your spouses hand in public? I can bet not. Are you being ridiculed every single day of your life, just for being who you are? I bet not, but I have. Have you been fired from your job because of who you love? I bet not, but I have.
This is the time for people to stand together and open up your minds to new things. It’s 2020 for crying out loud. We have a choice. A choice for love, for companionship, for equality and for freedom. Go Vote!! Vote @JoeBiden
