Fennec foxes gigantic ears serve dual functions:
1. Temperature control in their native Sahara
2. They can hear their prey (insect or small mammal) in their burrows.

The Fennec fox is the smallest extant canid, and also has the smallest number of chromosomes (32 vs 35-39 in other canids)
They are also conveniently stackable and qualify as carry-on baggage on most airlines.

The moisture needs of the Fennec fox is mostly met in their diet, but they will drink water when available, because, honestly, how much juice can there be in the average mouse?
Despite my continuing experiments involving Fennec foxes and wind tunnels, they appear to lack sufficient lift to go airborne without tiny jetpacks, which we can all agree is a little excessive.
