The Dogon of Mali, West Africa are the world's most advanced pre-modern astronomers. Their study of the stars is unsurpassed by all.
It is intricately merged with their spiritual system, which is centered on the Supreme Being called Amma (identical to the Nile Valley deity "Amen").
The astronomy of the Dogon originates from an ancient Chadic civilization that circled Lake Chad, which was much larger than it is today and was the center of ancient Green Saharan culture.
It was when Lake Chad began to dry up and the Sahara desert expand, that the knowledge was taken from West-Central Africa to Napta Playa in southwest Kemet.

Amma/Amen is the self-created deity that emerged from the state of total innerpeace.
It was innerpeace (tranquility) that became the basis for the creator to act out by beginning creation.

The name Amen does not mean "hidden/invisible" but immaterial.
This concept of being immaterial has less to do with the physical world but with the concept of not being controlled by the physical world (materialism); this freedom from materialism is the source of innerpeace and the nature of the Supreme Being, Amma/Amen.
