Okay, serious tweet time:

Why Armor could be the Right Choice for You https://twitter.com/ladylovestaft/status/1318719842208354309
Armor Branch consists of two distinct but connected main organizations: Armor an: Cavalry. Armor Officers are trained and expected to excel in both of these roles.
Armor is the Tanks. Speed, maneuver, firepower, shock force. You will lead formations that are trained to break through the enemy and exploit gaps.

You're responsible for controlling a tank and it's crew of 4. While also controlling a platoon of 4 tanks. As part of a Company.
Mounted maneuver warfare is fast, it is challenging, and exhilarating. You're working with tens to hundreds of kilometers of territory, juggling multiple radio nets, while also directing the deployment and fires of a platoon of tanks.

It's hard work, but awesome experiences.
Cavalry: the Eyes and Ears of tbe Commander

The Cavalry Scout gathers information on the battlefield to inform the Commander's decision making. Yes, we have UAS and air capability. But nothing can match up to the Scout on the ground, finding the enemy.
Scouts are expected to rapidly develop the situation on the ground, report rapidly and accurately, and provide the information necessary to allow the Brigade Commander to best deploy their forces to achieve the Brigade mission.

It is critical, difficult work.
As a Scout Platoon Leader, you have to control the deployment and operations of 6 vehicles and multiple Scout teams. You have to be the directing force to achieve the Information Requirements. You must make snap decisions on the ground. You have to be agile and smart.
Is Armor right for you?

Do you want to lead men and women into combat, whether on tanks or as Cavalry Scouts?

Can you make rapid decisions on the move, influencing the maneuver and success of the entire Brigade?

Can you take on the challenge of commanding multiple elements?
Ultimately, pick the branch that appeals most to you. Only you know what is the best challenge that your skills can excel in.

But if you want to be part of a proud Army tradition of mounted Soldiers, train men and women to fight our Nation's wars, join the Tanks and the CAV.
My DMs are open and I'm happy to talk about Armor Branch, branch selection, or any Army questions you may have.

And I promise not to tweet any screenshots.
