Back in Version 1.8, Rayark added an OS log to the character Xenon, which contains the R slur, derogatory against neurodivetgent people and people with various mental disabilities. Just because this has gone mostly unacknowledged, doesn’t make it acceptable. (thread)

I’m only tweeting about this to raise awareness. Just because a large company has done it, doesn’t make it okay. I actually find it somewhat ironic that they would censor even mild swear words in OS logs and iM posts, but would leave this as-is.

It’s fairly simple to circumvent this type of language: aside from just censoring it, one could also opt to use a different word, such as “idiots” or “morons”. I hope this thread has helped make fellow Rayark fans more aware of this issue. Storytelling does not excuse ableism.
