the collective outrage from the majority of people regarding the fsm scandal is needed more than ever with more people becoming aware of the current political discourse in the uk; the actions taken by the tories are just the tip of the iceberg from the last 10yrs of Tory rule
the lasting effects of austerity have been felt across the country over the last 10yrs; with the north of England being one of the hardest hit areas with cuts across all sectors, increases in unemployment/lack of job opportunities well before covid and rising during the pandemic
The knock of effects of long-term unemployment leading to increased use of food banks/community services; eventually people seek “help” from the government e.g. claiming universal credit which in itself is a flawed and unfair system - see article below

these are just a fraction of the failings over 10yrs in power
The truth is this country is ran by the rich, for the rich
The gov chose to vote against feeding starving children yet can write off a council tax bill for their rich/powerful friends who fund the Conservative party
The last general election was one of the greatest opportunities to vote out this incompetent government yet we didnt. The brainwashing of working class communities with false promises and lies is what won the tories the election with the pandemic exposing these lies to the public
the only thing stopping a lot of people from going into poverty in those exact communities is luck. That’s why policies like fsm being extended across school holidays are so vital to communities across the country.
a lot of people are outraged and expressing this which is great but until this country actually comes together and does something about the current state of affairs nothing will change. Thats the truth. If you dont want to see this continue for another 10yrs
VOTE THEM OUT
it’s all well and good doing Twitter fingers and posting a few ig stories about the current situation but by actively being the change you want to see is the way to create a change I can’t stress this enough!!
