The state of the country is hopelessness, this was their plan. To kill the drive for change, for a New Nigeria that benefits EVERYBODY. That’s why they killed, lied, silenced us & finally gave us that type of speech. But not ALL of us can go to Canada. Let’s start our party NOW!
We’re living hand to mouth. Schools are not in session, jobs are underpaying, the economy is in crumble, you will travel & have to work for your family in Nigeria. Ridiculous hours & jobs before stability, your parents maybe old (some love village, just the idea of being home).
We’ve seen the state of our country, we’ve seen the pains & how many people aren’t even previewed to information like TOFEL or get to a point to afford. Even abroad, there is uncertainties & crisis can arise! If Nigeria is never fixed, the Nigerian dream would be to be a Refugee
I’m tweeting from Nigeria & I’ve never seen or lived elsewhere but I’m sure it will feel different to live in my own country being developed. There is pride, dignity & a sense of belonging in your home. Don’t let them sell hopelessness to our generation like they did our parents.
The youths are bleeding, our parents are bleeding with us, the international community is bleeding, our brothers & sisters have bled/fighting to live. We’re in agony because of bad governance, if we run, those that can’t run will bleed. The wounds are fresh, the toll gate memory
is fresh, the pains are raw NOW. I’m a very small a/c but we’ve equal voices & share the same pins. We want Nigeria to WORK. Not for 1, few or some, we want a Nigeria that gives NIGERIANS HOPE! Growth! So I’m appealing we take our youth party idea to the peak like a protest!
We look for funding, set a council, get youths that share the same pains with us & draw up a party ideology, discuss this regularly, people in law (start a division), finance & commerce (a division), IT (a division), health (a division), welfare & public administration (division)
We can creat a division to vet/background check people, have a website for transparency, take 2 people from each division & create a leader group, register members, campaign from grassroots level, educate people about what birthed the party ( #EndSARS & #LekkiMasacre), it can take
years & this is exactly why we’re in 2020 & elections are 2023. We can create a synergy with our members & the goal of the council/party. People with clean hands & have passed a background check can internally campaign for leadership positions in the party, we’ve experts & can
get counsel from other international bodies/organizations that see the goal & want to associate with us. If we start now, with transparency with ourselves, 2023 we might just win ALL THE GRASSROOTS positions if not higher. One thing we’ve proved through this #EndSARS is we’ve
good citizens, patrons! True ones! When I hear people speak of running, I remember the people who refused to leave toll gate after being warned. Sat there & sang the national anthem, they saw a greater purpose that made them stay. You can travel but we mustn’t give up on our
strength, Unity with a Purpose! A New Nigeria. We must let the youths that died, die FOR US TO LOSE HOPE & JAPA! It’s work & I hope I’m not a dreamer but let’s make it work! We can start it carefully, gradually, register all member, let’s know our numbers! People aren’t blind
The Governor of Lagos took pictures with victims & didn’t pay a medical bill! The Lagos helplines refused to answer & it was us (AK & feminist coalition) that helped, Rinu, Aisha, half of these guys i don’t even follow or know their @ but their actions is what make them my allies
I’m broke tweeting all this & I was saying I’m going on a social media break, we all need a time to heal, the words of BUBU & lack of empathy is crushing & jokes are cool, Canada is cooler but I can’t swear my mom can move around at her age. We’ve responsibilities as the strength
of this country. This protest made me realize how helpless our parents generation are. Like they wished everyday we made a breakthrough, you could tell they needed an intervention as much as us. They were like babies in my eyes, just as tortured by bad governance & poverty
broken**
We need this country to WORK! We need to all lend our potential to a plan & keep the objective simple (a Nigeria that works for everybody). Writers write about it
Singers sing it
Experts & academicians work with a plan
PR & MEDIA promote it
Keep the candle burning
If we sleep on our STRENGTH & ZEAL because of the level of demoralization from this evil forces then people died for NOTHING, sang for NOTHING. I know what I propose is a lot of work but take it as the first time people have actually genuinely dedicated into this country.
This ground is open for more ideas, it’s open for correction & open for any type of constructive commentary. We weep tonight but NIGERIA needs us, to work for us! And don’t worry about division, they will ALL come around. Good is worth supporting & people have suffered enough
I’ve seen unity during this protest among people of different sphere of life & that is our strength. People are tired of hardship, 3yrs of camping & planning will shake ground. Illiteracy understands hunger, even thugs feel the pains of thuggery. The common ground is a Good Life!
Pls I’m a small acct as you can see, so your RETWEET is greater audience, if you support this message, RETWEET & @feminist_co @DrOlufunmilayo tag people you know can lend their voice. I’ve cried tonight out of pains & helplessness but deep in my heart I know running isn’t enough.
I feel like I’ve things I’m missing but I hope & pray this conversation goes viral... and people look at it closely with strategy, care & depth. Deflecting is cute, a distraction but never a solution. I’m good at it, Nigerians are good at it too. But we need to grow out of it.♥️
