With #EastTroublesomeFire spreading, sheriff's deputies escorted a bipartisan elections team to collect all the ballots and lock the ballot box in Grand Lake this morning.

The election center is not under evacuation orders as of yet, but each county has contingency plans to move people and stuff.

Voters can still safely place their ballots in other dropboxes. Don't worry, elections officials will get them, says @CoCtyClerks.

This is where Colorado's robust ballot tracking (including new universal notifications system) comes in handy. If your ballot somehow is destroyed, you will be able to confirm that and either get a new ballot or vote in person instead.
