Record all your takes, even the warm-ups. Sometimes you find a hook in a song, better lyrics or a way of singing a certain line.
Pitching songs for syncing/music deals can have a lot of benefit in connecting with people. It might be that they hear potential in you for a similar project or what people are looking for so you can send something else to them.
A really simple one but I literally did this the other day. If you feel like you don& #39;t like something in a production, switch off every channel and bring back each track to see what it is that doesn& #39;t work.
I record with effects monitoring only...that way I always have the raw vocals, and I always sing without EQ otherwise it makes me sing flat.
