The change from standard retweeting to automatic quote retweeting may be one of if not the most absolutely obnoxious things that Twitter has done to how it’s platform operates.

It’s especially craptacular when you just wanna RT cool art of folks who discourage QRTs of their work

I don’t really understand the need for this change either. The system worked fine before. This change feels arbitrary and random at best.

Although... I *can* totally see this being done from a desire of @/jack’s weird obsession to foment “discussion & discourse” on here. Meh.

Between mess like this, Tumblr contorting itself into a digital fart pretzel, Pillowfort’s exclusivity, Facebook being Facebook, DeviantArt being a mess, & Instragram’s forced size constraints there really isnt a good social media platform for sharing art w/o significant problems
