Have you ever heard of a "Scape-goat"? It is a term that describes the relationship of an abuser and their victim. The "scape-goat" is always wrong. Nothing they do is ever good enough. And, if they ever do anything unarguably good, the abuser takes the credit for it (part 1)
A scape-goat can be the abusers employee, their child, their spouse or sig. other, and even their parents.
The point of the scape-goat is to have someone to dump all of the abusers evil actions on. If they lie, it's the scape-goats fault. If they steal, you guessed it, (part 2)
it's the scam-goats fault. The abuser is constantly telling stories (usually lies) about the scape-goat to anyone who will listen so that the scape-goat is alienated from the people around them. It's manipulation at its finest and cruelest. And if the scape-goat (part 3)
ever fight back. If they dare to call the abuser out on their abusive ways, the abuser then turns to everyone and says "see. I told you the scape-goat was crazy" garnering the sympathy and support needed to continue to abuse the scape-goat (part 4)
But, actually listening to the scape-goat, and keeping track of the abusers lies, will show anyone interested in finding out the truth that the scape-goat is a survivor of abuse.
That's why abuser work so hard to triangulate their victims and supporters. (part 5)
Triangulation is simply turning one person against another. We see it on tv shows all the time. And you may have even experience it yourself. The abuser will say "scape-goat called you fat" to their supporter in an effort to turn everyone against the scape-goat so that (part 6)
the supporter will never bother to challenge the abusers lies about the scape-goat. The supporter will hate the scape-goat for no reason and attack them as well, without ever questioning their motivation.
