The released 60 Minutes footage is so banal that it's almost baffling. I'm astonished he was so upset by it, I'm astonished he stormed out, I'm astonished they thought leaking the material would help him in any way.

It's just a garden-variety terrible interview of the sort he's done multiple times now. No new confessions or bombshells or trip-ups. He's just as bad in front of an interviewer as...he always is.

He stormed out over this, really? His given excuse is that she was mean for warning him there would be "tough questions" at the beginning, and that nobody asks Biden tough questions. It makes him look so fragile.

I would honestly understand this better if she'd cleverly maneuvered him into a damaging confession, but it's just...a regular bad interview of the sort he's given before.

Impossible to escape the question whether the problem with THIS interview was that a *woman* was asking him tough questions instead of a man. The question of whether he thought she was nasty for not being deferential and pliable.
