Since working from home in #DTK, I have been getting a lot more lunches from the local businesses that are literally a stone's throw from my door. Here is a (non exhaustive) thread of quick lunch choices in @DTKitchener 1/
Two Goblets: Ontario between Duke and King. Call ahead for the $6.99 schnitzel sandwich. The bun is amazing, and the whole this is HUGE. I recommend getting a side of sauerkraut to throw on there too. Open Tues-Fri. 2/
Hasty Market: Ontario, across from the old transit hub. $9.99 daily special. Spicy rice, chicken leg, choice of meat, choice of side (I recommend the spicy lentils), salad, and fresh made bread. Or, forgo the salad and bread and get a second side (go chickpeas). 3/
@rainbowcaribean: King St, between Queen and Frederick. Whatever they're soup of the day is, get it. Get the roti. Get a Jamaican pattie. Get anything on the menu, it's delicious. 4/
Big Fat Pita: King at Ontario. the chicken shawarma pita with fries is $12, or $8 on its own, and tastes a dream. Great for a grab-and-go. 5/
Crazy Canuck, Ontario and Duke in the basement beside the Apollo. Just get whatever the sandwich of the day is. I trust those guys implicitly. 6/
Honourable mention: @CentralFresh one piece snack of fried chicken and seasoned potatoes. Chicken and taters has long been my go-to fast lunch, and theirs is the best in the Region. 7/
Shout outs to Crafty Ramen, Yo Sushi, La Guanaquita, and others where I usually get dinner. So now I ask, where are your go-to lunch spots in #DTK? 8/8
