why do you feel pressured to find your life’s purpose? are you convinced everyone else has found theirs? do you believe life has no meaning without one? have you considered, simply living your life. taking it day by day and paying attention to what brings you genuine joy? 💛🌻
i wonder at times if it’s rooted in perfectionism. like yes i must master something in this life. “why am i here” is one of the most asked questions in this lifetime. i can honestly say, i’ve never questioned my purpose. i’m not sure why. i just move towards what calls me.
i love psychology, making people laugh, connecting with people even for a short period of time, cheering people up, i love babies, i love old people, teenagers annoy me, i love animals, salads, the sun, trees. i mean... what is a purpose. will we only have one per lifetime?
is it a concept that was made up or imagined to keep people going and striving? i’m not sure. but purpose is a big word, it’s heavy. with a lot of nuances. i don’t like having high expectations of myself, because i tend to fall short of them, repeatedly. this is natural though.
i just want to live. i want to try new things as often as possible & fail as many times as i need to in order to absorb a lesson. i want to travel. i want to connect. i want to experience. i want to breathe. these things are priceless & more important to me than finding a purpose
is the search for a purpose a trap? is it the ultimate distraction from simply living. nature gives me purpose. a strangers kindness gives me purpose. a babies smile gives me purpose. purpose is intention. what is our intention or reason to continue to exist? well...
simply because we are here. whether we asked to be or not. whether we are happy about it or not. we’re here. we’re given a sunrise and a sunset everyday. i think learning how to live happily is far more important than fixating on a purpose. you are not just meant for one thing.
you are multifaceted and meant for many things. i hope you can explore a majority of them in this lifetime. 🌷🌿🌻🌿🌸🌿🌺🌿🌷🌿🌻
