I’m losing my mind over his reaction to the ACB confirmation vote being

A) ‘nice’ (because the Democrats are BOYCOTTING THE VOTE)

B) ‘peaceful’ (because the protestors aren’t allowed inside)

C) ‘deliberative’ (WHEN THERE’S NOBODY THERE TO DELIBERATE)

this is the whitest, most 1%-er political tweet thread. Only a rich white person in America would think that protest isn’t vital for democracy, because to them protests are just annoying buzzing outside their gold gilded doors bought w/a fortune made on the backs of Black slaves

& plenty of poor white Americans buy into this BS too. But generally poor white Americans feel that protest is vital to democracy if they’re the ones protesting. (BIPOC protestors are ‘rioters’.)
