Charges on "Big Tech" companies & some suggestions to bring order. From my old post:

1/put oversight board with external representation
2/rol&resp of this board to be known to GoI
3/24x7 coordinates of email, toll free & web forms
4/offer fine grained controls on data of user
5/educate users with frequent adverts

6/provide means to mark 'fake news'
7/make email, mobile & address mandatory for signup
8/give genuine tag in exchange for more data of users
9/senior management to be held liable for malfeasance
10/verify all business & non-individual accounts

11/work with law enforcement officers so that their profiles are verified, marked & easily identifiable
12/implement reference check options of profiles by friends & family to increase authenticity of users
13/enforce SLA standards for reported cases

14/bring a “Law Enforcement” profile with sub-admin features to hide posts & mark users to be deleted etc.
15/track ip address, record device signatures, gps coordinates, last access date & time etc for forensics to be made available for law enforcement in their profiles.
